The Oversight Group is comprised of senior representatives (scientific and administrative) from each member organisation, making 12 in total plus the chair. The founder members agreed that MRC should chair and provide the secretariat for the Group for the first three years, which has been extended to the present. 

Ways of working

The COG works in a variety of ways including formal meetings, informal discussion and e-mail exchange. Given the geographical challenges in convening the group, meetings will for the most part operate virtually, although one physical meeting should be convened per year.
